SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

 

In addition to the monthly programme of talks the Club has throughout its history enjoyed a varied programme of social visits to interesting places.  These have included in the past   Ham Lands,  RAF Museum at Hendon,   Kensal Green Cemetery,  the Supreme Court, Finchcocks Musical Museum, tours of the RFU Stadium at Twickenham,  Kneller Hall, Brooklands Museum and Bletchley Park.

The Musical Museum, 399 High Street, BRENTFORD, TW8 ODU

 

A tour of this fascinating Museum, which houses a  collection of mechanical musical instruments including  the Mighty Wurlitzer,  has been booked for 11.00 am.  Please arrive by 10.30 am .  The cost is 9 payable on arrival.  Please note there is limited car parking but buses 237, 267 and 65 stop nearby and Brentford train station is a short walk away.   There is a lift to the various floors and an excellent  cafe on site with sandwiches and snacks, plus hot and cold drinks.

 

 

                                                                                                           

All events result from the careful and time consuming work of our Speakers' Secretary  and Social Secretary who  produce an excellent and varied programme which is enjoyed by all
